1992 Mazda Eunos 1.6 in Stone Silver
I have this lovely 1992 Mazda Eunos 1.6 in Silver Stone for sale and its a really nice example. Its covered around 82000 miles and has been in the same family for many years.
Specification includes electric windows, power steering, a lovely Momo leather rimmed steering wheel and a black mohair soft top complete with glass window.
Inside everything is in good clean condition (though I can see a tiny burn mark on the driver’s seat base). Carpets and all trim is in good condition too. It has a Kenwood stereo along with an electric aerial and I have just replaced the door speakers with new Sony units so it sounds good too.
Bodywork is very good indeed; its never been welded underneath and I can only see a very small cosmetic repair on one wheel arch. It still has its original spot welds on the inner wheel arches and there is no rust anywhere: sills, wings, wheel arches are all solid and rust-free. Underneath its good too and has had some waxoil treatment which has helped keep any corrosion away. Suspension components and subframes etc are all in good order too. Paintwork is very good – better than most – though I can see some light crazing of the paint on the rear bumper. This is neglible though and I can’t imagine anyone is going to lose any sleep over it. The last owner has recently fitted a new set of 15” lightweight alloys fitted with a matching set of new tyres. These are in excellent condition and suit the car perfectly.
Mechanically its in standard condition so no unusual modifications and drives all the better for this. I have covered around 250 miles in the car so far and performance is great and the way it drives is addictive; it loves being revved hard through the gears and you feel like you’re travelling at 100mph even if the reality is that you’re nowhere near that. And in a well set-up MX5 like this, you can carry considerable speed through the corners anyway. I get to drive lots of MX5s and this drives as well as any out there. The gearbox and clutch feel perfect while brakes are as they should be. Handling is terrific and its recently had a four wheel alignment set-up.
There is a large collection of paperwork and old MOT certificates going back many years. A check on the HPI register shows it to be clear from accidents or any other misdemeanours. It has a Toad immobiliser fitted and still has its original tool kit in place.
As with all of my sale cars, it has been thoroughly inspected using our unique MX5-based 80+ point checklist, then serviced and MOT tested. It means I know the car will drive as its supposed to and will be free from any major faults. If there are any minor issues, I’ll happily tell you so you know what you are buying.
This one is ready to go and be enjoyed by its new owner. Its a lovely example, its smart and solid and drives so well. Price is £5350.
